The Michigan Supreme Court ruled on Mothering Justice v Attorney General, overturning the Michigan Legislature’s actions when they amended two citizens initiatives in 2018. As a result of the Court’s decision, in February 2025, Michigan’s minimum wage will increase, the tipped wage will be eliminated and all employers will be subject to a costly, onerous and litigious paid leave mandate.
